In the fashion industry, "layered look" refers to a style wearing clothes over other clothes.
In photography, a snapshot often seems more fascinating when it captures virtual images, such as faces reflected in a mirror and landscape in a shop-window together with real objects around them.
By the way, each of us is composed of many different layers of aspects, such as ancestry, education, hope, despair, travels, the period of time, environment and so on. Life itself is thus "layered."

Layered（レイヤード）とはファッション用語で「重ね着」という意味です。
写真の場合、鏡の中に映った顔やウインドーに反射した景色などの虚像と周囲の実像が同一画面に映り込むことで、より魅力的な絵作りにあることがあります。
これまでにも多くの写真家がこの「写り込みとの組み合わせ」に魅了され作品を残してきました。私もその一人で、レイヤードグラフ「LAYEREDGRAPH」と名付けてみました。
少し飛躍しますが、私たちは、先祖、教育、希望、失望、旅、時代の流れ、生活環境など、あらゆる要素が幾重にも折り重なって現在の自分が作られています。
そう考えると人生そのものがレイヤードです。さらに、被写体の上に写真家の人生やセンスを自分なりにレイヤードしたものが作品なのだと思います。
