My first visited in Luxembourg was January 1999.
I revisited Luxembourg in May 2017, year of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, on a project prepared by H.E. Ms Béatrice Kirsch, Ambassador of Luxembourg to Japan.
Her intention was to show how Luxembourg had changed since 1999.
This time, I felt more strongly the comfort I’ve already felt travelling in this country for the first time.
It would give me much pleasure if this book can convey an atmosphere of Luxembourg.

私が初めてルクセンブルクに旅したのは1999年1月のことでした。
今年2017年5月、ルクセンブルクと日本の友好関係が始まって90年という年に、現大使であるキルシュ大使の企画により、 私は再びルクセンブルクを訪れました。
1999年以来、ルクセンブルクは如何に変化しているのかを見て欲しい。
それが大使の目的でした。やはり時を変えて同じ国を再訪する意味は大きく、前回の旅で感じた心地良さをさらに強く感じることが出来ました。
ルクセンブルクの空気と、飾らぬ素顔が伝われば光栄です。
