Leaving behind the boisterous echoes of themundane in Tokyo City, the restaurant window meal replicas, eye candy food,neon lights and niche bars become afantasy portal to distant mountains and forests haunted by urban legends and modern folklore. Raiki follows her inner demons on a surreal journey through the looking glass. She finds her own absurd wonderland where the ‘white rabbit’ is morphed into friend shaped humanoid pets and goes on to fight and escape Kaiju style monsters lurking between the concrete jungle and nature; temples and shrines, sea and sky. The wanderer takes refuge in a small village nestled in the Tokushima Valley where thepopulation has been replaced with life size dolls. She learns the ancestral art ofSamurai spider fighting, fades in and out of reality and into the final reverie that leads her back to her birthplace of Kamakura
