I began making night sky and skycape images as I matured as an artist and no longer wanted to wait around for something ‘to happen’ and felt the sky, or more so the ‘universe’ had the same emotion as a human connection which also correlates to the eye portraits- you can see the truth in a photograph by someones eyes, a layer of trust, but by making a macro image of someones eye without a setting or context creates an anonymity while at the same time a connection, combing the two made sense in a physical object.

写真の中の誰かの眼には真実が見え、 信頼の層が浮かび上がる。しかし背景や文脈を排除した眼球のマクロ画像は匿名性を生みつつも繋がりを保ち、この二つの特性を物理的なオブジェに融合させることに意味を見出した。
